Awakening the water within

Nothing is softer than water, yet nothing dissolves what is hard as gently as water does.
This softness lives within us. It is the center of emotion, intuition, creativity, and release.

When we awaken the water within, breath softens stress, tears release what the mind holds tight, and a simple pause brings more healing than hours of control.

When we choose compassion instead of tension, something inside of us unwinds.
The hard places do not have to disappear all at once. They slowly soften, bit by bit, as if surrounded by water.

A simple practice

Sit comfortably. Let your shoulders drop and your jaw soften.
Place one hand over the lower belly and notice the natural rise and fall of your breath.

Imagine the breath moving like a gentle tide.
On the inhale, it swells.
On the exhale, it flows back and softens.

Let your attention rest quietly in this place beneath the navel, as if you’re listening from there.
Breathe slowly. Allow warmth, ease, and safety to gather with each cycle. If emotions appear, let them move the way water moves: freely, without force.

Stay for 1–3 minutes, then take one deeper breath and release it with a sense of quiet relief.

In practice this can be as small as noticing one breath, feeling where the body is tight, and giving that place a little kindness. Over time, these tiny moments of softening change how we move through our days.

May you find one small place today where you let the water in. ❤️
